A special IB Economics class: Act out Economics!

On June 14th, the G11 IB students had a very special Economics class. They went to the drama classroom and acted out various macroeconomic policies through drama performances. From forming groups and writing scripts, to preparing costumes, setting scenes and acting it out, they handled the entire project themselves over the course of three weeks. This is the first year the has school offered a drama class to G11’s IB students. The main aim of using role play is to help students better understand the economic theories they find in their textbooks through real-life economic events. It turned out that the drama performances were a great success. The class became more vivid and active, and the students also improved their application abilities.
