Puxi Grade 5: Lecture from QingCongquan

Last week, a teacher from Shanghai Qingcongquan Training Center for Children with Special Needs gave a charity lecture.

The center was built in 2004 to help autistic children. Autistic children are children who live in their own world, and they often encounter difficulties regarding social skills, understanding, and verbal communication. They are not well understood by society. The center has many programs to develop autistic children’s finger muscles, image recognition, and social skills. More importantly, it provides much needed care and warmth for these lonely children.

SHSID has made donations to the center since 2015. Last semester’s donation of 20,000 yuan contributed to making two talent shows at the Center possible, and allowing 24 more kids, otherwise not able to receive educations elsewhere, to go to school. Our donations will help more and more autistic children to realize their dreams and live a normal life soon!
