Grade 2: Last Story from the Story Moms

During Persona Growth Class on June 14th, all the second graders at SHSID welcomed their Story Moms for the last time of this school year. This time the Story Moms brought a world wide famous story called Miss Rumphius, by Barbara Cooney, to the second graders.

This was a very touching story about good wishes and hope. Miss Rumphius always remembered what her grandfather told her to do: do something that makes the world more beautiful. She spent her whole life spreading and planting pretty flowers wherever she goes. When she became an old granny, she passed this wish to her little granddaughter. This story made our students think about how they can make this world better and more beautiful.

This is the last time the Story Moms will visit during this school year. Hopefully every second grader will be ready for third grade, thanks to all the love and hope from all these great stories.
