Puxi Primary Section: A Meaningful Assembly

On June 11th, SHSID’s Primary Section Grades 1 to 4 held the last assembly of this semester. In addition to some traditional assembly arrangements, in this assembly we added some more meaningful new content.

First, the Primary homeroom teachers awarded the Weekly Stars, Monthly Stars and Sports Stars. Ms Bao also announced the Excellent Classes and the prizewinners of the Talent Show. Those prizes rewarded the students for their efforts over the past few months. At the same time, all the students were motivated by the awards. We hope they can try their best in their future.

After the prizegiving, Ms Bao told all the kids that there were some special guests here in the assembly hall. They were the shifu, ayi and our security guard, who endeavored to do their jobs well despite the fact that few of the students knew their names. With their pictures on the screen, Ms Wu, Ms Xu, Mr Su and Mr Qin came up to the stage. Ms Bao introduced them to all the students. She told the kids about their daily work and what they expected from the children. She also educated the students that we have to not only be thankful to our teachers, but also to every person around us, not matter what job they are doing. We should be respectful to others and treat every person equally.

We believe that through this grade assembly, the students were rewarded for their hard work, and also learned the importance of respecting and appreciating others, no matter who they are.
