Chinese Culture Inheritance, International Custom Exploration
Chinese Culture Inheritance, International Custom Exploration
During the first Module of MIX Day 1, a traditional Chinese dance was performed in the Blackbox theatre by ‘Longyinshe’, a student group who focus on traditional Chinese culture. All the performers devoted a lot of time to this show in order to bring wonderful dancing, singing, and comic dialogue out from the past and into the MIX Day. Students enjoy watching their performance because of the attitude of the performers, and as well as the hilarious comic dialogue that made all the audience laugh.
An event called ‘Experiencing Cultures of Underrepresented Countries’ was held in the Xianmian Building.
All three floors of the building were filled with exotic decorations and descriptions that conveyed information about our world’s many cultures to the visitors. Most of the rooms provided two to three famous kinds of food from each country. There were cultural activities to enjoy too, such as Ethiopian dances, Canadian ice hockey. The students who participated in these activities enjoyed the variety of the regions presented, and closely interacted with these distant yet certainly exciting cultures.
