Grade 6: Chinese Native-speaking Speech

On May 23rd in the Primary School auditorium, all the Native Speaking teachers and students participated in the speech presentation called ‘If National Treasure Can Speak’. During the event, two representatives from each class were selected to introduce the story of a Chinese national treasure and its cultural value, speaking in first person as the treasure itself! The students on stage introduced themselves humorously, using slide shows and video clips to help them present.

It’s impossible to learn Chinese without learning a bit of cultural heritage. These national treasure speeches allowed students to feel attached to cultural relics usually locked up in museums, and to explore their significance in a fun and exciting way.
