6th Grade:‘If National Treasures Could Speak’ Presentation Event

On Wednesday a presentation event called ‘If National Treasures Could Speak’ was hosted by the 6th grade of SHSID. This event included 17 students from sixth grade, all presenting a specific treasure’s characteristics and astonishing ‘life’.

The items the students presented about included the ‘Jade Cabbage’ (now in Taiwan’s National Palace Museum) and the Duhufu (now in Shaanxi History Museum).

The presentations were all very fascinating. Some students even presented themselves as the treasure, recalling their memories and experiences. They were extremely informative as well. I have definitely learned some new things about ancient treasures and the cultures of various countries. For example the story of the Duhufu is related to Mongolia as well as China, since it was an item used by Tang Dynasty generals to deploy forces into territory north of their border. All in all, the event was very informative, exciting and meaningful. The students of SHSID truly enjoyed it, and I wish something like this will be hosted again.
