Pudong Grade 1: A Surprising Children's Day

Students in SHSID’s Pudong campus always expect a lot on Children’s Day. However, we never let them down! This year, on June 1st, the Grade 1 students got an entire surprise day to celebrate Children’s Day— their own festival. The teachers tried hard to keep the whole day a secret.

When students came to the school only to realize that there would be no class in the whole day, they all burst into laughter. Later, the received a handmade present prepared by their parents— a magic group photo with QR code on it. When the students scanned the QR code, they could listen to their parents’ speech.

The parents talked how they loved their children, their pride in being parents, and their future hopes for their children. Our students were so touched that some of them even burst into tears. We really hope that as the first Children’s Day in SHSID for our students, the memory of it will last long!
