Grade 7: Field Trip
Grade 7: Field Trip
In this year’s annual field trip, the 7th grade students travelled together to the Shanghai Natural History Museum. The Shanghai Natural History Museum contains a great variety of exhibits, which were not only very interesting, but also educational!
On the morning of the field trip, all the students quickly went to the buses, and finally arrived at this enormous museum. Just past the museum’s entrance were many interesting scientific objects. Further in, there were many realistic models, ranging from huge dinosaurs to cute little monkeys. There were lots and lots of interesting models, but the huge dinosaur model caught the most attention. What was most appealing about the huge dinosaur model was that it not only roared loudly, but also moved!
Next, we passed by many different areas with live animals and saw many beautiful butterflies, exotic spiders, colorful snakes, and some underwater animals such as jellyfish and tropical fish. In another large room, we also saw a great number of savannah animal models and an animated background with highly realistic sounds that awed the crowd.
At last, the students enjoyed a great time with their friends and learned interesting things about the natural world. As the classes split into groups, the students also learned the importance of teamwork by touring the museum and making posters together. This field trip was very entertaining and beneficial to everyone. Hopefully the next field trip will be as fun and filled with knowledge!
