Pudong Grade 4:Dragon Boat Festival

It's Dragon Boat Festival!

During P&B class on May 22nd , the G4 students watched a video introducing the customs of people in ancient China. The students learned that in the olden times, people in China would wear colorful bracelets to ward off disease. They also would hang a bunch of mugwort by the front door to exorcise evil spirits. The students also learned that China is not the only country in the world that which celebrates Dragon Boat Festival. After watching the video, the students started to draw cartoon zongzi and also tasted some traditional Dragon Boat Festival food.

We believe that after this class, the students will have a better understanding of both this traditional Chinese festival, and this culturally diverse world!
