Grade 4 Math: Math Carnival

As an essential subject, mathematics plays an important role in a child’s life. From primary school and sometimes even to college, Math accompanies every child in their journey through the education system. In order to help our students have some fun while learning mathematics, a Math carnival was held on the afternoon of May 24th.The fourth graders were able to engage themselves in the following four activities: moving the match sticks, the 24 point game, finding the rule, and sudoku. Different activities were held in different classrooms. The students rotated when the bell rang. Each students got a stamp when they correctly answered one question and they used stamps to trade for prizes. As they did this, they immersed themselves in the world of math. Some were jumping up for successfully solving a problem, some were wracking their brains over one question, and some were counting their stamps.

The math carnival was aimed to stimulate the students’ interest in learning Mathematics. We hope that the fourth grade students can truly discover the infinite mysteries of Mathematics, be willing to explore it, fall in love with it, and apply it in their daily lives!(Written by Wang Tingqi Pictures by the teachers of Grade 4)
