Puxi Grade 3: Brazil Carnival

On May, the Puxi 3rd graders learned about Brazil in their Social Studies class. Thanks to this they gained a deeper understanding of the culture, history, and geography of Brazil.

On the noon of May 18th, the students brought along Brazilian headwear and maracas to the campus’ Brazil Carnival, and had an amazing time. The special Brazilian style attracted many students and teachers, and became a beautiful sight among the sunshine and greens of our early summer campus.

Six classes made up a Brazilian parade. They were in yellow and green, just like the Brazilian flag. The teachers played Samba songs, along with the tic tic tac rhythms made by their maracas. With the music students sang and laughed happily.

The Brazil Carnival brought students experience of Brazilian culture through clothing, music, performance, and many other means. It was a big success!
