High School History Day Series Report II

On May 18th, all the High School history teachers met in the Zhongxing Annex Building after school to watch and judge the video projects made by their students. There were three groups, which were assigned the documentaries made by the 9th graders, films made by the 10th graders, and newscasts made by the 11th graders respectively.

When these projects were assigned, every student had received a project packet with detailed requirements and standards for assessment. By late last semester, each class had been divided into several groups to work on different topics. The students had several months to do their research, prepare their props, and shoot their videos. All these efforts were made to compete for awards such as ‘Best Overall Documentary/Film/Newscast’, ‘Best Use of Historical Sources and References’, ‘Best Acting’, ‘Best Editing and Presentation’, ‘Best Technical Use and Multi-Media’, and ‘Best Costume and Dress’.

The results will be announced on History Day, and all the winning works will be screened on that day. It’s coming soon!
