MFP： Charity Concert

On the afternoon of May 4th, the MFP Club organized a charity concert in the Outpatient Hall of Shanghai Children's Medical Center (SCMC). This is the eighth charity concert organized by the club in SCMC. Since SCMC is about to commemorate its 20th anniversary, the MFP Club members hoped to present their great appreciation and gratitude to all the medical staff of SCMC.

The concert was chaired by Barbie Hsu. Ms Ji Qingying, the Deputy Director of SCMC, attended the concert. Ms Chen Yuting, director of the Social Work Department of SCMC, and Ms Eva Peng, the director of the PTA Committee of SHSID, both thanked the club members for their efforts in conducting such a charity concert. Kingsley Poon, the Founder and President of MFP Club delivered his speech to thank the SCMC management for their strong support and guidance.

He said, “This is all for the children. SCMC has been with you for 20 years. We also sincerely thank the SCMC Management Team for their kind support towards our club and express congratulations on SCMC’s 20th anniversary celebration.”

Hisaishi's ‘Innocent’ opened the prelude to this charity concert. A fusion of classical and modern piano and orchestral programs brought the audience a lyrical and joyful time. They heard a string ensemble rendition of ‘Turkey March’, played by by Grace, Tim, Antony, Jerick, Maureen and Ronald, a piano solo of ‘Moonlight Sonata’ by Linda, and the piano solo ‘Chopin Nocturne’ by Sherry. Leo’s guitar piece ‘Childhood’ was all echoed by a round of applause. The concert ended in a bright and lively piano solo rendition of Chopin’s ‘Black Key Etude’, by Kingsley.
