Puxi Grade 1: Donation to Shanghai Healing Home
Puxi Grade 1: Donation to Shanghai Healing Home
The Grade 1 students and parents did an excellent job participating, selling and volunteering at the charity fair this past April. We are very proud to announce that we raised a total of 30,000rmb.
We decided that we would personally like to hand over our check to the Healing Home, therefore on the 8th of May we spent the afternoon visiting them. Six children, one from each homeroom class, were chosen to visit the Healing home, with Ms. Hallie, Ms. Candice, and Ms. Nicolle. The students set an example of excellence; being polite, patient and very caring with the SHH children. Mr. Aaron, who previously visited the school, gave them a tour of the home. He showed our students where the children play, eat and sleep. We then accompanied the babies and children to the outdoor play area. Our students took care of the SHH children and played with them on the playground.
At the end of the afternoon we handed over the check to Mr. Aaron, who was delighted and very thankful for all our help and generosity. On the way back to school we asked the students how they felt about the visit, they said they had a great time, and would love to go again! Thank you to everyone who participated in the charity fair and has made this donation possible.
