Puxi Grade 2: Geo Fair

Week 12 is an exciting week for all the second graders of SHSID. They have spent the whole week travelling around the world, and learned a lot about many countries.

On Thursday, May 10th, every student visited three different ‘countries’ during Personal Growth class. They learned a lot about those countries’ traditions, culture, famous people, and special events.

Altogether, there were six countries that features in the second grade Geo Fair. They were Mexico, Ireland, Brazil, India, Egypt and Canada. Before the Geo Fair, the students prepared by researching their assigned country’s flag, landmarks, cuisine, famous people, and history, all during social studies class. On the day of the Geo Fair, every class rotated around three different classrooms with three different topic countries to learn and enjoy each country’s unique, fantastic culture.

Every student enjoyed the Geo Fair and enjoyed discovering this amazing world as well.
