Pudong Grade 1: Pizza Party

On the first Friday of May, the Grade 1 students of SHSID’s Pudong campus went through what was their ‘best day of the week’, according to several students. On that day, they had their Pizza Party during lunch time as the celebration of successfully completing the reading challenge before the end of Reading Month. Although the reading challenge consisted of lots of ‘weird’ tasks like ‘reading under a desk’ and so on, the students really loved this challenge and enjoyed the experience of accomplishing it! Many students couldn’t help but finish every task as soon as it was assigned.

Every kid was given a yummy pizza, and a drink. While the students immersed themselves in the feast, their teachers were glad to see how much more they had come to love reading, through the process of their challenge. What a win-win party!
