Pudong Grade 1: Science Fair

On May 8th, the Pudong Campus’ Grade 1 students took part in the Campus’ first ever Science Fair. In order to prepare for the Science Fair, the students grouped themselves early and decided upon their topics through discussion.

The students’ topics were wide in range and quite thought-provoking. We saw questions ‘like what is ants’ favorite food?’, ‘how to make an egg into a bouncing egg’, ‘how do astronauts return to the earth?’

In order to prepare for their group project, many students made usage of their free time after school to rehearse the experiment. After a week of careful preparation, the Grade 1 students all presented their Science project both interestingly and logically.

The judges and teachers were all amazed by the amazing posters the students had put together. The students also learnt a lot in the Science Fair. They shuffled between different classes, eager to record what they have seen in others’ experiments on their passports, which were designed specially for the occasion. The students wished that there could be a Science Fair every day!
