Pudong Campus: Think Like a Scientist at the Science Fair
Pudong Campus: Think Like a Scientist at the Science Fair
On the afternoon of May. 8th, all the students of Pudong campus finally had their long-anticipated Science Fair. Our students had spent almost a whole month preparing for this event and tried their best in everything along with their young team members in order to show their fellow students a cool and fabulous experiment. They worked through their experiments with the scientific methods we have learnt in Science classes: find a problem, make a hypothesis, conduct the experiment, analyze the data and form a conclusion.
Without even realizing it, our students experienced the complete process of an experiment and conducted their experiment in exactly the same way as the professional scientists do.
During the Science Fair, we invited 13 Science back-grounded parent-volunteers to be our judges. After the presentation and Q&A, our kids had a better understanding of their experiments and the scientific methods as well. The judges were also impressed by the work of our young students.
Though our students did quite simple, child-friendly experiments, they can now think as scientists do, so long as they follow the scientific methods. We believe that if they want to, they can grow up to be amazing scientists!
