Puxi Grade 3: A Visit to Sansi LED Company

On May 3rd, the Puxi campus third graders visited the Shanghai Sansi Electronic Engineering Company.

In their new Technology Research Department, the students learned about LED lighting products, LED screens, and the process of designing them. In the systematic lab, the students came into contact with ‘LED smart classrooms’. They even experienced how to use LED screens in various scenarios.

The first attraction was ‘smart street lamps’. Led by the staff, the students experienced the applications of smart street lamps in daily life. For example, these smart lamps can monitor the condition of a sewer grate in real-time. If it was visibly unstable, the video monitoring would catch the pictures in time and warn any passersby through the LED screen.

During their visit, an LED indoor small-spacing screen really made the students feel excited. This screen supported the conversion from 2D to 3D by pressing only one button. The quality of the 3D pictures was clear and fluent, making students feel that they were in the scene.

In addition, they also observed plant-lighting LED, which could stimulate the growth of plants. They also touched the stage screen, which could make music and ripples. It was a way that turned education into colorful games and activities. Through those methods, the children’s curiosity was aroused. They were so interested and eager to learn. In this relaxed environment, the students all felt the strength of technology.
