Grades 9-10：Career day

On the afternoon of May 2nd, 9th and 10th grade students from Shanghai High School International Division attended their Career Day activities. Over 2 hours of CAS class, the students chose to listen to two lectures from parents on a career they were interested in. The speakers brought seminars that were entertaining and engaging, and actively assisted students in answering questions and providing suggestions and motivation. These seminars ranged from fashion designers and musical directors to STEM researchers and VR developers, providing students with a wide range of choices.

In these two afternoon classes, the students could learn about unique experiences regarding the speaker’s chosen profession, and study the frontiers of a certain field. The lectures and interactive activities- so meticulously prepared by the parents- gave the students a special and interesting experience.

After the activity, the students all wrote reflections on what they learned from the lectures and what they need to commit to their preferred future profession.
