College Information Session (VIII) – Johns Hopkins University

On the evening of May 7th, the Johns Hopkins University’s Dean of Admissions, Ms. Ellen Kim, and Regional Admissions Officer, Mr. Nicholas Igo, gave an inspiring college information session for the Shanghai community on SHSID campus. Over 200 potential applicants and their parents from different schools attended the session to learn more about life at Johns Hopkins, the city of Baltimore, and the admissions process.

Mr. Igo began the session by describing academic, social, and residential aspects at Hopkins, providing the audience a more holistic view of the university. Ms. Kim followed up with a comprehensive explanation of how to apply, particularly emphasizing that Hopkins looks for students who can work collaboratively as a team and contribute to the community. Students and parents were eager to ask questions during and after the talk.

In conclusion, the session was an informative opportunity for high school students and their parents in China to gain deeper insight into Johns Hopkins University.
