Grade 11: Silent Angel Kindergarten Art Exhibition

Since April 26th, a special art exhibition has begun in the lobby of the Xianmian Building. The exhibition is hosted by volunteer students of the Silent Angel Kindergarten, with help from their teachers.

The artists behind these beautiful, vibrant watercolors are, in fact, children with Autism from the Silent Angel Kindergarten. These artworks were sold to affectionate students and teachers on the day of the talent show. The money received from the sales will in turn be used for the betterment of the Kindergarten facilities.

Through the vivid colors and brave strokes, the children showed the world a glimpse of their unique thoughts and sentiments. Despite the barrier placed on them by their unique condition, the children managed to show their angelic nature through mediums other than words. By exhibiting these beautiful artworks, the young SHSID volunteers hope to raise awareness and improve the living conditions of the children.

Thanks to the donator of the canvases- the YingKe Environmental company- whose help ensured that the artworks are exhibited in their best form possible. This meaningful exhibition will last for a whole month. After this period, the buyers can come and retrieve the artwork. It’s said that awareness is the greatest agent for change. We genuinely hope to see more similar activities in SHSID’s future, raising social awareness on campus.
