Pudong Grade 1: Little Wonton Chef

Our students experienced so much fun during the Chinese Culture Week that they craved for more! As the highlight of the whole week, in the activity lesson on April 28th, the Grade 1 students learnt how to make wontons by themselves under the instruction of their teachers. During the lesson, the students first got to know the story of the origin of Wonton. Thinking of the delicious food that they had before, the story made the students amazed of the complex culture behind such a normal food. When they started to make their own wontons, the students realized the difficulty of preparing food by yourself. Some students felt it hard to stick the wontons together, some students put too much stuffing inside, and some students failed to shape their wontons correctly. However, all of them enjoyed this wonderful activity, which helped them to get closer to Chinese culture.
