Grades 11：Job Shadow Day-Jingkids Magazine

During the short vacation after the Midterm, 3 students of Grade 11 grasped the precious opportunity of the job shadow day and experienced what working at Jingkids magazine is like. Jingkids is a magazine that provides the newest information on international & foreign language schools, to help the parents to make the best possible decisions regarding the education of their children.

The editors showed the students how editing is done on social media platforms like Wechat, giving them a comprehensive look of the work of editors. The students also helped in preparing for an exhibition hosted by the magazine. Doing the heavy-lifting themselves, the students were surprised by the intensity of the work. But inspired by the passionate moods of the workers, the students all fulfilled their roles.

Spending a single day at the magazine gave the students insights into the reality of working for a magazine, an experience that can never be gained from textbooks.
