Puxi Grade 1: What is the Meaning of My Name?

Every parent puts their best wishes and expectations inside their child’s name. The Native Level Chinese teachers of Grade One thought of a Chinese project called ‘Draw My Name’ for all of the first graders to enjoy.

First of all, the students needed to talk to their parents and understand the meanings and best wishes from the parents. Then the students needed to choose one Chinese character from their names and express the character, its meanings, and their parents’ wishes through drawings.

During the Chinese Show and Tell class of May 2nd, each student was required to present their work. All the students and teachers were touched and encouraged by the great expectations and wishes hidden inside their names.
