Grade 7: English Speech Competition is coming!
Grade 7: English Speech Competition is coming!
On the 24th of April there was an English speech competition held during lunch time in Room 413 of the New Art Building.
Students were chosen by their English teachers based on their speech from the Midterm exams. Free lunch and water were given to each student.
There were 4 judges and 4 students for S+. Every student was very nervous, despite several days of practice. They made amazing speeches which were as good as H and H+ speeches. For S+, there were Eric 7(5), Harace 7(3), Rob 7(4), and Amanda 7(4). They gave speeches on consumerism, which they had learned about in English class. Students chose their topic and researched it. Next, they made speeches about their own topic in class. Only 4 students Eric 7(5), Harace 7(3), Rob 7(4), and Amanda 7(4) went to the second round. They all made fantastic, interesting, and informative speeches. It is very unlucky for us to only hear the speeches from 1 or 2 of them. I hope that everyone can go to the next round.
There also were speeches from S, H, and H+. They had different topics compared to S+. Those students also made amazing speeches and I am very proud of them. Everyone– nice job! You all did very well.
We are looking forward to the final English speech competition next week!
