I Speak For Our Nation’s Treasure—A Speech from Second Graders SHSID

All the second graders in SHSID who are in the Native Level Chinese classes have spent a lot time preparing speeches on the topic ‘I Speak For Our Nation’s Treasure’. This is one of the activities which is part of the ongoing Chinese Culture Week.

Every student introduced one of twenty-five different Chinese relics, introducing its history, functions, influence and significance for China and in some cases even for the whole world. Every student also dressed up as people from ancient China to show their respect to those who came before.

Thanks to these speeches, all the second graders have learned a lot about ancient Chinese history and culture. Hopefully every student will feel proud of Chinese culture and history.
