Grade 12: Swimming Competition

On April 25th, the SHSID Swimming Competition was held. All the contestants arrived at the swimming building during PE class and changed into their swimming gear. At the swimming pool, some contestants were already swimming laps in the pool to warm up. Soon, the PE teacher called out names and assigned students their respective tracks. The contestants stood on their diving boards or went into the pool. And so the swimming competition began! The audience stood beside the pool and cheered as they watched on. The outcomes were more unpredictable than you would’ve thought, as being in the lead at first does not mean you will remain so. As individual events ended, the long-awaited relay race arrived. Each team was composed of four swimmers, and each swimmer completed 25 meters. The friendly swimming competition ended with congratulations from one contestant to another. The swimmers from 12(9), 12(10), 12(3) won first place in the relay.
