Pudong Grade 5: Chinese Singing Contest 1st Round

Our long-anticipated Chinese Culture Week is coming right after the mid-term tests. There will be a very special activity this year– a Chinese Singing Contest.

Although our students enjoy music day to day, most of what they listen to is in English. In order to help our students to have a better appreciation of Chinese, SHSID will hold this Chinese Singing Contest.

During Chinese class on April 12th, the Pudong campus’ 5thgraders took part in the 1st round of the Chinese Singing Contest. Our students did everything themselves– from forming groups to practicing their chosen songs. Their efforts paid off! We heard beautiful music and applause coming from both the classrooms they sang in.

Two groups of participants were chosen to join the final round, held after the mid-term tests. Let’s look forward to their brilliant performances.
