Grade 8: Geography Presentations

On Wednesday, April 4th, five students were chosen by their Geography teachers to present a social, environmental, and political problem from their homeroom’s chosen country to other teachers and students. Giving these students an opportunity to delve deeper into each countries’ problems allowed the students to pause and reflect deeply on the subject.

As one of the students who have presented that day, I had the opportunity to share with everyone the environmental issues in Thailand that are in need of addressing. While researching the topic, I would often slow down and think about how I can try to help solve this problem or at least alleviate the suffering caused by it. When you look closely at your surroundings, you will realize that there are plenty of issues that are serious and yet easy to solve. Properly addressing the problem can allow you to better understand how to take steps in order to solve it. As rising high scholars, these skills will not only make you a more reliable, independent, and charitable person, but will also improve the society or environment.
