Puxi Grade 5: A Letter from Qing Cong Quan

What follows is a letter from the Qing Cong Quan Training Center for Children with Special Needs.

‘Because of you, the children of the stars are no longer alone.’

Qing Cong Quan first formed its ties with SHSID in November 2015 when Qing Cong Quan received visitors from SHSID. Even though we have received a lot visits from students, we were especially impressed by the students of SHSID. According to our first impression they were calm, steady, and meticulous. This impression also pointed to the SHSID students’ enthusiastic participation in and selfless dedication for charity. So far, for the past three years, Qing Cong Quan has continually received charity donations from the students of SHSID . Can feel the students’ love and support in every single one of these donations.

This time, the Qing Cong Quan teachers had the honor of visiting SHSID and giving a speech to the students of fifth and sixth grade in order to help them become more aware of autism, as well as understand and accept autistic children. The SHSID students gave up their lunch break and listened attentively to the presentation, while actively asking questions. After the presentation was over, the students also said they had a lot to gain and will continue to pay attention to the autistic groups in the future and give them more help.

If lives can influence one another, SHSID’s students are using their own actions to bring warmth and hope to our ‘children of the stars’. We want to send our great thanks to every teacher, staff member, and parent of SHSID for their confidence in Qing Cong Quan, and to the SHSID students for their selfless dedication and support. Because of you, the children of the stars are no longer alone.
