Puxi Grade 2: Parent Talk On Careers

Every child is very curious about their parent’s career, and every parent wants their child to know more about their career. Recently, the second grade teachers in SHSID helped both groups’ wishes come true!

On the morning of April 11th, six parents from six classes in Grade 2 visited the second graders of SHSID to talk about their wonderful experiences in their unique and interesting careers. The six careers they talked about were jewelry design, being a chef, graphic design, HR training, health guidance, and urban planning. Every parent had prepared very well, with a clear and detailed Powerpoint and some interacting activities to help introduce all these careers to the kids.

The students learned about what each job is for, and how it contributes to society. All the students were very interested in all these careers, with plenty of smart questions for the parents.

The teachers’ hope is that every student can realize that every career in society keeps the whole world running. The teachers hope that all their students will be responsible and professional in their future careers.
