Grade 11 Biology: Genetic Engineering Research

Earlier this month, the students of Grade 11 HL Biology were conducting group research on the applications of genetic engineering, and presenting their findings in class through a Powerpoint presentation.

The 21st century is the century of biology. The all-round development of genetic engineering has produced great changes in human life. In class, students have studied the principles, methods, and applications of genetic engineering. They are especially interested in the diagnosis of diseases. After class, they studied one of the applications through group investigation, using websites and literature. The applications they examined included genetically modified food, drugs, and forensic criminal cases. Every presentation was unique, and very well prepared.
