Pudong Grade 3: Do You Really Know About Qingming Festival?

On April 3rd, the third graders of Pudong Campus were looking forward to Qingming Festival, so they had a special PG class to learn more about its history.

First, students watched a video that talked about the origins of Qingming. After the video, the students shared stories about how the people in their hometowns honor their ancestors during the festival. They were impressed by how diverse Chinese culture is– not everyone pays tribute to their ancestors in the same way. Last but not least, the students tasted Qingtuan, a special snack commonly eaten during Qingming festival, and then they brainstormed if there is any new way that we can honor our ancestors. They put a lot of thought into more eco-friendly ways to do it.
