Cultural Bazaar: Geo Presentation
Cultural Bazaar: Geo Presentation
The SHSID Cultural Bazaar consists of three geography presentations dealing with global awareness.
We gathered in Room 311 on the third of April to listen to all these global awareness speeches.
The speakers were confident and presented us with interesting scientific and political facts as they spoke, voices loud and ringing clearly through the room. The audience, both teachers and students, were enthralled by information about unbelievable issues in exotic lands, and sat quietly, absorbing the words, mesmerized by the speakers.
There were topics about environmental hazards, political issues, and even more diverse topics during the presentation. We heard about varied locations from different continents, from Brazil to the United Arab Emirates. Through this experience, we have become more knowledgeable, international, and know more about countries both near and far from us. We not only learned about global awareness and issues in different countries– we also learned what is required in a skillful speaker. The speakers that presented were confident, active, and used effective hand gestures for their presentations.
Even though the students originally came for the free lollipops handed out by the very generous Mr Shen, they soon forgot about the candy and dove into the alluring information presented by the talented speakers.
