Culture Week Series Activity: A Performance of Traditional Chinese Music

On Monday at 12:30, a traditional Chinese musical instrument performance was held in the lobby of the New Art Building. Students from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades showed off their musical talents. Wonderful music was played by many pairs of dexterous hands. ‘Phoenix’, ‘Lotus Pond Night’, and other famous pieces of traditional Chinese music were performed perfectly. The audience gave huge rounds of applause whenever a song ended. At the end of the performance, the applause broke out like thunder, and lasted for a long time. Some even said, “This is the best performance ever.” Although this activity didn’t last long, it brought some fun to our ordinary school life, and allowed the audience to relax. That’s why it received so many compliments from students and teachers.
