Pudong Grade 1: Qingming Festival

In order to raise as well as enhance students’ culture awareness of traditional Chinese festivals, the Grade 1 students of SHSID’s Pudong Campus took a special activity class on April 2nd. At first, the teacher explained the origins of the Qingming Festival. Then, the students and teachers talked about what people do during the festival, including tomb sweeping, flying kites, eating dumplings, and going on family outings. The students were all impressed by several ways that different societies show respect to their ancestors. Even though the people we love have passed away, we should never forget them.
