Puxi Grade One: Reading in Spring

Spring is here! From April 2nd, the Puxi first graders started their Reading Month. Their homeroom teachers introduced the various activities of this month during Personal Growth class on April the 2nd.

After Dr. Seuss Week, all the first graders learned that the more they read, the more things they know. Luckily for them, they will be having some special reading activities this month. Every week, each class will have a classroom campout during their morning read-a-loud time. Every class will also have a volunteer parent come visiting to read stories during homework time, every week. And on April the 13th, all the first graders come to school dressed up as their favorite characters. The most important thing is, when one student finishes reading one book, they will write down the book name on a piece of paper and make it into a body part of the Primary School bookworm. What’s more, they will also have a Reading Challenge bingo game during the month. They need to try to read in different ways in order to get five in a row to get a Bingo. What a fun reading month! The kids cannot wait to read more books!
