Puxi Grade 1: Sort, Sort, Never out of Sort

Puxi’s first graders learned about sorting in Math class in Week 5. Teachers assigned a project called Never Out of Sort, in which the students were to consolidate their understanding of sorting rules.

During the weekend of week 5, the students were required to find real-life objects in order to finish the project. All the students tried their best to find appropriate objects to use for the project and then set four rules to sort them into different groups.

On March 27th, first graders brought their projects to class and showed off how creative they were. Some student sorted objects according to the smell and speed. Some student sorted objects according to the different ways of play music instruments. Some student sorted people according to gender, height and weight. They are very creative!

What a fun and practical sorting project! Sorting is everywhere!
