SHSID Middle School: The First Stop of the Cultural Bazaar
SHSID Middle School: The First Stop of the Cultural Bazaar
The Primary and Middle school Chinese Department cooperated with the Cultural Bazaar Activities of Grade 7-8 to carry out a ‘tourism’ travel contest in various classes. Starting from the last semester, the Native Level classes of Grade 7-8 conducted the a tourism essay writing contest. After the Chinese teachers guided, polished and selected the submissions, the whole 64 of them involved dozens of countries and regions, with a huge range of styles and landscapes stand outing. Using the winter vacation time, some students whose essays were excellent continued to polish their work, and finally produced a very beautiful completed project .
At the beginning of the semester, the teachers of the Primary and Middle School Chinese Departments carefully selected and finally chose 16 articles from the 64 works to win the Outstanding Award and 32 articles to win the Superior Award. The 16 Outstanding essays went for a two-week ‘Travel Exhibition’ in the Middle School lobby, which became the first stop of the cultural bazaar's style tour.
This exquisite work demonstrates the ability of our international students to capture the beauty of life. It also helps passers-by feel the broad-mindedness of these children. With any luck the next cultural tour will be even more exciting!
