IMMC

Four teams from SHSID submitted papers to the International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IMMC) that they worked on for four consecutive days of February. In this competition, two of our teams successfully made it to the international round. IMMC is a mathematical modeling competition where the contestants have to spend 96 hours straight on a real-world problem using their mathematical knowledge to create a model, in order for them to propose a solution to the problem. The contestants said this competition not only introduced them to the unfamiliar field of mathematical modeling, but also helped them find their passion for math. The contestants hope that they can get another splendid score in the international round!
