Culture Bazaar Warm-up: Travelling Essays displayed in the New Art Building
Culture Bazaar Warm-up: Travelling Essays displayed in the New Art Building
The day of the Culture Bazaar is getting near.
As students of SHSID, many of us have visited different countries, and have our very own unique memories of them. In seventh and eighth grade, our students have written beautiful essays about their own interpretations of a country they have visited. The best of these essays were selected to be displayed on a large board standing in the entrance hall to the New Art Building, together with photos of the authors and their journeys. No matter whether the essays were written about Australia, Spain, or Japan, they were all uniquely informative and interesting to read. Students and visitors alike stop at the beautifully decorated board and start reading excitedly, curious to know more about the countries depicted. However, this is just one corner of the massive Cultural Bazaar event to be held on the 9thof April. Student-designed charity stands, regional food stalls, and even more posters about countries visited will all be displayed in the cafeteria— and all profits from the stands will be donated to schools in need. Just like last year’s stunning result, this year’s Culture Bazaar will be the most colorful yet; bringing both happiness and knowledge not only to students in SHSID, but also to students in impoverished areas that desperately need our help.
