High School Biology Department: Science Fair

On the afternoon of March 21st, the Science Fair was held for Grades 9 to 12. The teachers of the Biology Department took advantage of nature, which allowed the students to run some very interesting DIY experiments.

Various materials were provided to the students. These included herb sachets, eco-bottles, soapberry liquid, little orange lamps and environmental protection poster making materials. The students took the herb sachet homes to use as mosquito repellent. Based on their knowledge of ecology, the students put fish, shrimps, seaweed and soil into the bottle to create an eco-house for these little organisms. The soapberries were used for washing hands because of their natural components. Students cut them into pieces and filtered them into bottles. By carrying out orange lamp experiments, planting plants and making eco-posters, the students have deepened their understanding of biology and environmental problems.
