Grade 12: PTSA Meeting

On March 22nd, the Senior High School held a PTSA meeting. The Director of SHSID’s Senior High School, Ms. Liu Qin, the Grade 11-12 class PTA representatives, and two Grade Head Teachers- Ms. Wu Chen and Ms. Gu Ying- attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Director Liu Qin introduced some of the coming work to the PTSA, such as the school’s new scholarship system, the first Awards Ceremony, Sports Meeting, Career Day, English Speech Contest, Art Festival and other important activities from the previous semester. They also discussed first aid training, Pi Day, Science Fair, and the Psychology lectures of this semester.

Director Liu also announced some upcoming events, including Global Citizens Day, Company Visits, the InterCultural Extravaganza, the Graduation Ceremony, and AP/IB examinations. In addition, this semester there will be projects held in cooperation with other institutions, such as Shanghai Botanical Garden and Xingyu Hospital. On the topic of college applications, Director Liu emphasized that the purpose of our school is to help each child could find his or her best-fitting schools and majors.

The Grade PTSA representatives then talked about the work they have done since Grade 11, and all the members discussed the coming follow-up work. Everyone hopes that the work of the school can be carried out smoothly with input from both the school and parents, so that every student at SHSID can better follow their own path.
