Pudong Grade 5: Reading Buddy

At SHSID’s Pudong campus, the March Habits Education topic is Reading. A childhood habit for reading can benefit one for the rest of one’s life. During the P&B class of March 20th, the Grade 5 students had a reading buddy activity with the second and third graders. Some chose their favorite books and some chose books appropriate for younger kids’ reading levels and then read their chosen story to the little students. The Grade 5 students explained the words to the lower graders and answered their questions as well. Furthermore, our elder graders really made friends with these younger graders through the reading activities and now they are real buddies. The Grade 5 students loved to do all this for the younger students.
