Pudong Grade 2: Reading is Even Better with a Partner！

March is Reading Month on Pudong Campus. In keeping with this theme, we held a ‘Partner Reading’ activity in Week 5’s Personal Growth class.

So, what is partner reading?

Normally, we read alone. But partner reading asks us to read together like partners. In our Week 5 activity, the tiny little students from lower grades read with help from the upper grade students. Of course, partner reading can help us to understand books better. But more importantly, sharing the happiness from reading is a joyful thing for our second graders. When the upper grade students came into our classroom, those little ones couldn’t wait to read with their partners! After the teacher signed them into groups, they quietly sat together and enjoyed a nice spot of reading time.

Some of the partners were real siblings. Look, there’s a little sister happily listening her brother reading for her.
