The Wonder of Pi Day continues!
The Wonder of Pi Day continues!
March 14th, the charm of Math was all around us.
That morning, Ms. Liu Qin received a series of numbers from students on Wechat. Was this a continuation of the deciphering game on Pi Day? Ms. Liu began to attentively study these numbers with a heart-felt smile on her face. After a few rounds of trial and error, Ms. Liu succeeded in deciphering these numbers according to the alphabet. It turned out to be “I love you.” Then Ms. Liu coded a sentence in the same way and sent it to the students. Holding the phone screen, the students smiled naughtily. And so an energetic day filled with Math began.
From time to time, students would stop at the Math problems hanging along the corridor stairs from time to time. They sometimes frowned, and sometimes looked suddenly enlightened. The Math problems filled up the students’ free time in school and stimulated their passion for Math.
This week, students and teachers voted for the best works in the ‘Beauty of Math’ contest, and selected the best contestants in mathematician cosplay. These winners were awarded during the G11-12 Assembly. Meanwhile, G9-10’s ‘Stay to the End’ winners were also awarded during their Assembly.
When we add up the attentive looks from students and teachers when they voted, the Math spirits reflected in their art works, the proud and perseverant eyes of the winners…
…there’s no doubt that the charm of Math is everywhere in our lives!
