Puxi Grade 3: Keep Our Body Safe

Protecting yourself is always one of the most important lessons in life. On March 22nd, during Personal Growth class, all the third graders took an important sexual education class. Through watching a video together and the proper explanation from teachers, students got to know how to react to various types of abuse.

The video told the students that when you encounter sexual abuse, you should shout loud, run away and tell this to the adults you can trust. Also, it’s good to be a bit more alert about the familiar adults around you, except your parents. When they touch you inappropriately or ask you to them to touch them, you need to tell them to stop and run away, even if they try to offer you a present or ask you for help.

Every student got a piece of paper. While watching, they could take down some notes and discuss them with the teacher afterwards. Teachers explained some abstract words and answered their questions about this topic.

Learning how to protect ourselves is the most important lesson in our life. It’s especially important for children to know how to best react if they encounter abuse, in order to grow up safely and healthily.
