Puxi Grades 3-4: Roald Dahl week
Puxi Grades 3-4: Roald Dahl week
Roald Dahl Week was a great success. We received really positive feedback from the students about all of the fun events we provided for them. One of the highlights was our chocolate factory event where the students had the opportunity to visit rooms based on the crazy rooms of Willy Wonka’s factory. They had the opportunity to experience the factory using a green screen, help to solve chocolate puzzles, and visit the Tunnel of Imagination, among other opportunities. All of these activities were based on Charlie’s experiences in the chocolate factory.
On Thursday, our 3rd and 4th grade students participated in a vocabulary scavenger hunt. They were asked to dress up as a word and were given a number of challenges all to do with language and parts of speech.
On Friday our students participated in a Roald Dahl game show in the auditorium. Volunteers from each class were invited to the stage to answer questions about Roald Dahl’s books and the movies that were inspired by them.
We had a great week and we look forward to celebrating it again next year!
